Sandra Maguire

Sandra was inspired to set up CoderDojo Dun Laoghaire after hearing James Whelton talk about it in 2012. The 100s of kids who have attended since have helped her learn Scratch and a lot of other cool stuff. With qualifications in New Business Development and Cyberpsychology, she works as a Business Development Consultant, and has a particular interest in startups, online payments & education. Sandra was listed as one of Ireland’s Talented 38 Technology Women of 2014. She is a proud member of the CoderDojo Coolest Projects team and of the board of the CoderDojo Ireland Foundation.

Francis Reed

Francis is an ICT Professional with 25 years broad industry experience. He has been part of the CoderDojo Dun Laoghaire group since its inception in 2013, working as one of the principal coordinators, a technical mentor and a member of the CoderDojo Community Committee. An experienced project manager his focus is on encouraging team work and collaboration. Francis is a technology enthusiast with three children of his own and has set up a second CoderDojo in Dun Laoghaire (the Sunday group at METNS) to broaden the reach of the group within the local community.

Harold Perez

Harold is a Senior Product Manager, responsible for the vision, strategy and roadmap of a number of software products targeted to the Financial Services industry. With over 15 years’ experience in delivering software solutions for the financial services industry, Harold brings intricate knowledge of risk management and financial services regulation and its impacts on the governance and management of banking processes within world-leading financial institutions. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Telecommunications and Masters in Business Studies. Harold is one the founder mentors at CoderDojo Dun Laoghaire and founder of CoderDojo Stepaside.

Toby Mole

Toby graduated from IT Sligo with a research masters in electronics and currently works as an embedded systems engineer in the power electronics industry. Toby has been a mentor at CoderDojo Dún Laoghaire for several years, mentoring on a wide range of languages and volunteering at Coolest Projects. He has also been a programming instructor at the Centre for Talented Youth and a lecturer at IT Sligo.

Gerard Cregan
Graduated from Cork IT with BSc. Computer Applications.
Worked for over 20 years in various IT roles, including Technical support, software development and operations management in Retail, Manufacturing and Software Development. Currently working for IBM providing technical support for software developers in the Configuration Management and Requirements Management areas.
Has been involved with the CoderDojo in Dún Laoghaire since 2014 as a mentor. Has 4 kids between the ages of 10 and 20. This included a surprising amount of IT technical support. Outside of IT and Family Gerard is involved in Rugby. Currently a referee in the Leinster Branch.

Brian O’Crowley
Brian joined the CoderDojoDL team in 2015. His experience covers a diverse range of technology in private and public sectors. Successful roles include Security/Technology Specialist, Project Manager, IT/Network Manager, Senior IT consultant and Technical Architect. Brian is an accomplished problem solver due to the breadth and level of experience gained over the last twenty years.

Dhruba ‘Drew’ Banerjee

Drew runs Strike Films, which has produced: Children of the Revolution, a documentary in which Joe Duffy uncovered documented and wrote the stories of the 40 children killed during the Rising, which was broadcast in the heart of RTÉ1 Centenary celebrations schedule; and Road To Rio, a six part series on RTÉ2, which followed 11 Irish athletes as they tried to qualify for the 2016 Olympics. Originally from London, both Drew’s children attend CoderDojo Dun Laoghaire.
